Baltimore Orioles pitcher Chad Bradford has one of the most unusual deliveries in the game.
BALTIMORE (BP)--Major league pitchers are always looking for an edge, but Baltimore Orioles reliever Chad Bradford possesses an ability that his teammates, quite frankly, don’t care to learn. Bradford is one of the best submariners in the game.
      “I think I’d hurt myself trying to do that,” fellow Orioles reliever Matt Albers said. “But it’s definitely fun to watch. It obviously gives the hitter a very different look.”
      While they might not exactly be baseball’s vaudeville act, submariners (pitchers with an unusual sidearm motion) are easily one of the game’s most bizarre delights. Baylor pitcher named to U.S. national team
DURHAM, N.C. (BP)--Baylor right-handed pitcher Kendal Volz was named to the 2008 USA Baseball National (Collegiate) Team, America's governing body for amateur baseball announced June 24.
      Volz, who will be a junior next season at Baylor, was one of 20 players named to the roster Tuesday. Two more players will be added by week's end to finalize the 22-man team. Read More...
